Everything below is standard practice at Desína Ink Tattoos, every appointment, without asking.

Every reusable instrument is cleaned, bagged, and run through a steam autoclave. Each cycle is logged, and indicators on the pouch confirm the load reached sterilization temperature and pressure. Independent spore testing is run on a regular schedule to verify the autoclave is actually killing what it's supposed to, with results kept on file and available to the Health Department on request.

Needles, cartridges, tubes, grips, razors, gloves, ink caps, and piercing needles are single-use and pre-sterilized. They come out of sealed packaging in front of you and go straight into a sharps container when the service is done. Nothing that touches your skin touches anyone else's.

Desína Ink Tattoos operates under a current tattoo permit issued by the Alamance County Health Department under North Carolina General Statute 130A-283. The permit is posted in the studio. Permit number: [PERMIT NUMBER — PLACEHOLDER].

Destiny holds current bloodborne pathogen and cross-contamination certification, renewed annually, along with first aid and CPR. Certification covers exposure control, safe sharps handling, and proper response procedures.

Only implant-grade ASTM F-136 titanium is used for initial piercings — nickel-free, internally threaded or threadless, and sized with room for swelling. Externally threaded, plated, or unmarked jewelry is never installed here, including jewelry brought in from elsewhere for a fresh piercing.

Stations are set up in front of you: surfaces disinfected with a hospital-grade agent, barrier film applied to machines, clip cords, bottles, and lamp handles, and a fresh tray laid out. Gloves are changed any time hands leave the sterile field. Everything is broken down and re-disinfected before the next client.

You'll show ID, review and sign a consent form covering your health history, and go over placement and stencil before anything permanent happens. You'll see the station set up, packaging opened, and gloves gone on. Ask questions at any point — nobody here is offended by a client who checks.
